We preach a gospel of freedom for those who believe in the finished work of the cross. We preach that there is deliverance for the captives, the recovery of sight for the blind, healing for the brokenhearted, and deliverance for those who are oppressed.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. What does that mean? Jesus said to Nicodemus, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Everyone born of a woman is born of the flesh as a sinner.  All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The wages of sin are death. There is no way around it. Not only have all of us sinned, but we are also by nature sinners, and the Lord Jesus and the apostle Paul state that we are slaves to the power of sin. It rules over us and has dominion over us. This is the condition of everyone that has never experienced what Christ called the new birth.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, sin entered the world, and death by sin. By this one man’s disobedience, we were made sinners. We can try to do good works but it will not change our nature. We can give money to the church and money to help the poor. We can build children’s hospitals and orphanages but it still will not change our sinful nature. We can be baptized in water or join a church but it does not change us. Most religions and even so-called Christian churches preach a gospel of doing good and being good as a means of salvation but with all our good intentions we cannot change our sinful nature. You can pray and ask for forgiveness of sin but you cannot crucify your flesh. It has to be done at Calvary. The flesh does not have the power to change. You can stop your habits such as drinking and smoking but you cannot change your nature.  Christ came into this world as a man to redeem us from the power of sin.

The GOOD NEWS is that we can be set free from the power of sin and he that the Son sets free is free indeed. Stop trying to change your life on your own and let the power of God, the Gospel, do it. We need not only forgiveness for our sins which God will do for us in Christ, but we must be born of the Spirit. We must partake of the divine nature of Christ. The flesh man, the sinner, must die. Paul describes something wonderful in Romans chapter 6. “Knowing this that our old man (the flesh, the sinner) was crucified with Christ that the body of sin might be destroyed that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Do you want to be set free from the dominion and rule of sin? Believe that the crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ redeems you from the penalty of sin (forgiveness, justification) and it redeems you from the power of sin (the crucifixion of the old man, the flesh). The Book of Hebrews states that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Christ shed His blood for you. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. This belief is not some abstract belief that Christ exists, but it is faith in His finished work at Calvary. If you have any questions please contact us and we will be glad to talk with you.

Our Mission

Our mission is four-fold:

1. To preach the crucified and resurrected Lord Jesus Christ as the only means to salvation

2. To proclaim freedom and liberty from the power of sin and darkness, and freedom from the curse of the law that we might receive the blessing of Abraham which is the indwelling Holy Spirit, by the preaching of the finished work of the cross

3. To make disciples by expository preaching and teaching of the Word of God

4. To send forth equipped laborers into the harvest

About Us

What We Believe

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God (God-Breathed) and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative word of God. We do not believe that any other writings are part of the Word of God.

The One True God Revealed as a Triunity

The God of the Bible is One God. He is not three Gods. This one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM”, the Creator of the heavens and earth, the Holy One, the Redeemer of mankind. He has also revealed Himself as being one in plurality, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is never called the Son of God and the Son of God is never called the Father. Though distinct from each other, they are each declared to be fully God and yet they are One God.

1.         The Fall of Man

Man created in the image of God believed Satan’s lie, and transgressed God's commandment, thereby incurring the penalty of both physical death and spiritual death (separation from God). Sin entered the world and death by sin. Man became a slave to the power of sin.

2.         Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith. God sent Christ into the world to be the all-sufficient sacrifice for the sins of man and to redeem him from the power of sin. Jesus Christ bore all our sins in His own body on a cross and by His stripes, we were healed. Salvation is received by repentance toward God and faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. We are regenerated (made a new creation), justified by faith, and given eternal life.

3.         Repentance and Water Baptism

Repentance is turning from the world, sin, and the power of darkness to faith in the crucified and resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. It is surrendering to the Lordship of Christ. Godly sorrow works repentance. When we agree with God that our sins have separated us from Him, that sin is reprehensible to God and only the sacrifice of Christ is sufficient to take away our sins, then the forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Christ is applied to our life. 1 John 1:9 states, “If we confess (agree with God) our sins, He is faithful and just to have forgiven us our sins and to have cleansed us from all unrighteousness.”

Water baptism is an Old Testament concept that was for the Jewish nation showing that they had a complete change of direction in their life. John the Baptist came preaching a message of repentance and water baptism for the remission of sin. Not that water baptism would take away their sins but that they were preparing themselves for the One who was coming who would take away their sins, which was Jesus Christ. Though this concept of water baptism was preached in the early church because they were preaching to Jews and Jewish proselytes, the gospel that was revealed to Paul the Apostle was a spiritual baptism into the death of Christ. Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. Even John the Baptist preached this same message of spiritual baptism. (Matt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and fire). This spiritual baptism is the baptism that now saves us. (1 Pet 3:21)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit was promised by John the Baptist and reaffirmed by Christ Himself. John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear, He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” This is what Jesus told His disciples. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” The baptism of the Holy Spirit includes the new birth where we are given the Eternal Spirit to dwell in us. It is the taking away of our sins. It also includes being endued with power from on high to be witnesses of Jesus Christ. This enduing with the power of the Spirit gives us power to be witnesses and enables us to speak with new languages that we have not learned. Paul said that I will pray with the spirit (speaking in tongues) and I will pray with the understanding (speaking in a known language that the one speaking understands). Let's all seek to have the fullness of the Spirit.

Healing is a part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses on the cross. We can and should expect healing from God.

Jesus Christ will come again at the Second Coming at the end of this age. For those who love His appearing He will appear a Second time without sin unto salvation. To appear means He will be physically seen by all. Every eye will see Him. All who are in graves will hear  His voice and be resurrected. The rightous unto eternal life and the unrighteous unto eternal damnation. There will be no more death, no more cying, no more pain. The former things will pass away and behold all things will be made new. What a day that will be when our Jesus we shall see.

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast, and the false prophet, will be consigned to the lake of fire, which is the second death.

Description Title

The present heaven and earth will pass away and God will make a new heaven and a new earth where the righteous will dwell with Him forever and ever. There will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. We will live in the joy and blessings of God forever. The former things have passed away and we will enjoy uninhibited fellowship with God.
